Most customers go from checkout to a shipped order within 1–2 business days.
The Five Steps, in Order
- Take the HairIQ™ Assessment. About 3–5 minutes. It routes you to a personalized protocol recommendation based on your loss pattern, history, eligibility, and preferences.
- Review Your Results and Check Out. You'll see your recommended kit and the reasoning behind it. Choose the 30-day or 90-day plan (the 90-day is the better value), and check out.
- Complete the Medical Questionnaire. After checkout, you'll be asked a short series of medical questions: current medications, allergies, relevant medical history, and any conditions the physician should know about. This typically takes 5–10 minutes. Be thorough; this is what the physician will be reviewing. You'll also verify your identity with a photo ID and upload photos of your scalp and hairline. These are what the physician actually reviews. In some states, telehealth law requires a brief video as part of the visit; if your intake asks for one, see our guide on why a video may be requested. Everything you upload goes only to your physician through the secure patient platform.
- Physician Review. A licensed physician reviews your HairIQ™ answers and your medical questionnaire. Most reviews complete within 24 hours. The physician will:
- Approve the recommended protocol as-is, or
- Approve with an adjustment (for example, a different variant or dose), or
- Reach out for more information if needed, or
- Decline if the protocol isn't appropriate for your situation (see our guide on what to do if you were denied a prescription)
- Your Kit Ships. Once approved, your prescription is prepared at the pharmacy and your kit ships. You'll get a tracking email once it's on its way. Typical delivery is 5–7 business days after shipment.

What if I Have a Question for the Physician?
You can message your provider through the customer portal at any point during or after the review. For complex medical questions, we recommend writing them down so the physician can address them all in one response.
What About the Ongoing Subscription?
After your first kit ships, your subscription begins automatically with the topical and shampoo cadence you selected. The roller and brushes ship once with the first kit and aren't part of the ongoing subscription. You can pause, skip, swap, or cancel anytime through your Recharge customer portal.
