Results & Expectations
When will I see results?
The hair growth cycle takes 90+ days, the minimum window for evaluating any regrowth protocol. Most people see reduced shedding first (8-12 weeks), then density changes (around 90 days), then visible regrowth (3-6 months and beyond).
I've been using the product for 30 days and don't see results: is this normal?
Yes, this is completely normal. At 30 days your protocol has barely started working at the follicle level. The hair growth cycle takes about 90 days, and visible changes generally don't show up until weeks 8-12 at the earliest. Stay on it.
Why am I shedding more after starting treatment?
This is the "dread shed," a positive sign the protocol is working. Treatment pushes more follicles into active growth, so old weak hairs shed to make room for stronger ones. It peaks around weeks 2-8 and resolves by weeks 8-12.
I've been on Adegen for 6+ months and I'm not seeing results: what now?
If you're 6+ months in and the response isn't what you hoped, the next step is a physician-led protocol review, not a quiet cancellation. Most people who plateau have real adjustment options.
What happens if I stop using Adegen?
Adegen works by keeping your follicles healthy and their blood supply open. If you stop, your hair gradually returns to the state it would have reached without treatment. Stopping does not make you worse off than if you'd never started.
Do I need to use Adegen long-term?
For most people, yes. Pattern hair loss is ongoing, so keeping your results means continuing to support your follicles. The routine becomes simple once it's a habit, and the protocol can be adjusted to fit your life.
Will Adegen work for my type of hair loss?
More than 90% of hair loss is androgenetic (pattern) hair loss, and Adegen is built to address exactly that at the follicle. Autoimmune loss like alopecia areata has a different cause and should be evaluated by your provider.
What should I do if I miss a dose or a few days of treatment?
Don't double up, and don't stress. If you missed one application or dose, skip it and resume your normal schedule. A few missed days won't undo your progress. If you've been off treatment for several weeks, restart now and message your provider.
