I've been on Adegen for 6+ months and I'm not seeing results: what now?Updated 3 hours ago

Quick answer

If you've been on your protocol for 6+ months and the response isn't what you hoped, the next step is a physician-led protocol review, not a quiet cancellation. Message your Adegen provider through your account with what you've been using and what you're seeing (and not seeing). Most people who plateau have real adjustment options: a stronger variant, an added Rx, or a different route. And if you've used your prescribed treatment consistently for at least 6 months and still aren't satisfied after a provider-reviewed adjustment, our Satisfaction Guarantee may apply.

First: Is 6 Months Enough Time?

For most people, yes. 6 months is past the point where a working protocol should be showing something. But results build gradually: early signals like reduced shedding often come in the first 8–12 weeks, with visible density changes after 90 days and continued improvement across the first 1–2 years. If you're genuinely not seeing any change at 6+ months, that's worth a real conversation, see our guide on when you'll see results for the full arc.

The Protocol Review: Your Next Step

Message your Adegen provider through your account portal with:

  • What you've been using (variant, any oral add-ons) and how consistently
  • What you're seeing and not seeing, ideally with a couple of photos in consistent lighting
  • Any side effects or issues that have made it hard to stay consistent

Common adjustment paths the provider may consider:

  • Stepping up strength: A5 to A15
  • Adding DHT reduction: moving to an F (finasteride) or D (dutasteride) variant
  • Adding an oral: for example, oral minoxidil or an oral DHT blocker alongside the topical
  • Changing route: oral-led instead of topical-led, or vice versa

The Honest Version

Not everyone responds the same way, and a small share of people don't respond fully to any single protocol. But "this exact protocol at this exact strength" is rarely the end of the road: a review almost always surfaces options worth trying before you give up. When other interventions (like a transplant) become reasonable to consider, your provider can talk that through honestly too.

The Satisfaction Guarantee

If you've maintained an active prescription subscription and used your prescribed treatment consistently as directed for at least 6 consecutive months, and you're still not satisfied after a provider-reviewed formula adjustment, we'll refund your most recent one-month subscription charge as a goodwill gesture. A few conditions:

  • It applies to the prescription topical or oral subscription, not OTC accessories or bundle add-ons
  • It can't be combined with other promotional offers or discounts
  • It's available once per customer per treatment course
  • It's a goodwill gesture and not a guarantee of regrowth or any specific outcome

To start, email [email protected] with the subject line "Satisfaction Guarantee Request" and we'll work with your provider on the review.

When to Escalate

A 6-month plateau is a clinical conversation: it goes to your Adegen provider, always. Message your provider through the portal, and we'll make sure the right person reviews your case.
