What’s the difference between the Adegen Topical solutions (5, 15, and 15X)?Updated 15 days ago
Wondering which ARB Topical you should start the Adegen Protocol with? In this guide, we’ll break down everything you need to know about the difference between our topical formulations.
What is Adegen ARB?
Before diving in, let’s talk about the common thread across all our topicals: the ARB complex.
This proprietary blend of linoleic and oleic fatty acids acts like a superhero for hair growth, inhibiting DHT from attaching to the hair follicles which is the very root of the problem.
Unlike minoxidil-only solutions and DHT blockers that lower your DHT levels, we tackle the underlying cause of hair loss, not just the symptoms.
That means that our formulations don’t alter your hormone levels at all. The goal of ARB is to inhibit serum DHT from attaching to the hair follicles, which is what causes a restriction of blood flow to the hair follicle.
Since our products don’t interfere with hormone levels, this makes Adegen the safest and the most effective solution against hair loss on the market.
The Differences Between Topical Solutions
Our ARB Topical 5 is where we recommend first-time users begin their regrowth journey with Adegen. This formulation contains our proprietary ARB in combination with 5% minoxidil to maximize hair growth. On top of that, we use the active ingredient Retinol, which helps create cell turnover and drive the ARB and other active ingredients to the root of the hair follicle.
If your hair loss is severe and you want the absolute strongest, safest, and most powerful hair loss solution on planet earth, our ARB Topical 15 is it. While this formulation shares the same ingredient profile as the Topical 5, our Topical 15 is triple the strength. This is a monumental challenge to formulate into a topical solution and a testament to our brilliant chemistry team. Please note that because of the strength of our ARB Topical 15 it hardens a bit more when dried on the scalp.
For those that are looking for the most premium solution for hair regrowth, our ARB Topical 15X is a great choice. Compared to the Topical 15, the 15X formulation goes a step further for regrowth and contains Retin-A, which is the strongest and most fast-acting form. In other words, Retin-A acts as an upscale delivery mechanism and helps carry the ARB and other ingredients through the epidermis, very similar to the effectiveness of our 10X Roller. Remember, great power comes with great responsibility, so use this formulation after you have already tried our Topical 5 or Topical 15 for at least 3 months.
Which Topical Should I Start With?
For most guys, Topical 5 is a fantastic starting point. It’s effective, gentle for those with sensitive skin, and lets you see results without going all in. If you are already experiencing a more pronounced balding you could also start with the Topical 15 as it is a 3 times stronger solution.
We recommend topical 15X after you already went with topical 5 or 15 for at least 3 months but if you decide that you want to go straight to the highest and most premium solution there is absolutely nothing wrong with that.
Compared to men, women have lower DHT levels. That means women sometimes can see initial results even faster than men and also why for most women, our ARB Topical 5 is often more than enough!
Give it a shot, stay with it for 3 months and if you need a little extra strength, the ARB Topical 15 is a great next step.
Just remember, Topical 15 compared to Topical 5 dries a bit harder and if you don’t wash your hair daily then the Topical 5 is likely a better choice for you.
Tips For Best Results
Take great quality starting pictures of your hair loss from multiple angles.
Consistency is key! We recommend applying 2-3 ml of your chosen topical daily for best results.
Don’t forget the foundation: Shampooing, brushing, and the roller will all work together to bring you the best results.
Give each solution at least 3 months to work its magic before switching.
